Welcome to Mariners Farm
Set in beautiful parkland on sloping chalk downland at the edge of the village of Bishopsbourne, Mariners Farm sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and consists of about 18 acres of old pasture.
Here we breed and rear a traditional mix of livestock to produce high quality food while promoting our chosen breeds and supporting the natural environment. We have a small herd of pedigree Tamworth pigs (the ginger ones!), a small flock of Romney sheep together with a handful of Herdwicks, English goats and various breeds of free range poultry. Our horses and ponies also live here.

What we do...
All our animals are kept in as natural conditions as possible, combining traditional management systems with advances in scientific understanding of animal husbandry to ensure high standards of animal welfare.
We produce a regular supply of pork and sausages year round, and lamb is available seasonally. If the source of the meat you eat is important to you, please do consider buying from us (see Farmgate Sales page)
Some of our animals are for sale - this depends on the season and our breeding programme. All our pigs are pedigree and registered / registerable; we have weaners and breeding stock available most months (please see Livestock for Sale page for current details).
And for those who would like to keep and/or breed their own livestock, we run a number of courses and workshops over the year to provide valuable information and practical experience.
